"As life continued, my focus was still on my journey. I attended church every Sunday. I rarely spoke to Mom. Several weeks would pass when I did decide to call her, I asked, “how are you doing and what have you been up to?” She replied, “I’m just trying to get my life on track Son.” The sound of that brought tears of joy to my eyes. I hoped she was serious about cleaning up her life. I knew this would be a difficult task. I continued to pray for her in hopes that God would deliver her from darkness.
